Designer Finishes
The interior of the cabin was inspired by the natural formations and textures found in the environment it is surrounded by. Maldhi, meaning ‘Night or Night Sky’, represents a dark and moody colour palette, and the cabin combines a variety of contrasting materials and textures, resulting in a look that is both edgy and laid back.
The minimalist luxury creates a feeling of space, light, and comfort with a lot of “wow factor”.
The well-appointed kitchen has a bar fridge, two-burner gas cooktop, full-sized sink and all the utensils and equipment you’ll need for your stay, as well as a stone-top breakfast bar with panoramic views.
Our beds feature linen by Bed Threads and I Love Linen, on our favourite eco-friendly Koala mattresses. Find an additional double bed in the overhead mezzanine, ideal for kids. A cosy, unique, stylist-designed lounge also converts into a double bed.
Facilities
Maldhi is completely powered by its own solar-battery power system that facilitates reverse-cycle air conditioning (power for approximately 7 hours per day), instant gas hot and cold water, bar fridge, powerpoints and lighting. High-speed WiFi and a booster for Telstra phone service is provided.
At EYRE.WAY, we’re serious about sustainability. Waste products are disposed of appropriately, away from the sites and we rely heavily on nature to provide our power and water. All water tanks are filled prior to your arrival, but we do ask that you give mother nature a helping hand by keeping the environment in mind.
Be mindful of precious water use and dispose of rubbish and recycling the best way possible. More Information via FAQ Page here.
Location
Maldhi is situated 100m from a stunning raw and rugged coastline, famous for whale spotting and home to many kangaroos and emus. You’ll be overlooking Sleaford Bay and the Port Lincoln National Park – a nature enthusiast and bushwalker’s paradise.
The windows in the tiny cabin are so large you don’t need to go outside to enjoy the natural beauty; you can enjoy it all from your luxury king sized bed.!
The waters of Sleaford Bay are famous for whale sightings. Humpbacks and Southern Right whales predominate but Blue Whales and even Orcas have been sighted in this area. You might also see dolphins in these pristine waters and, of course, the odd White Pointer shark finds its way into the bay.
